This is what is needed when goal setting – POSITIVE AND INFECTIOUS ENERGY, EXCITEMENT AND ENTHUSIASM The goal setting template that I absolutely love and really align with is Brendon Burchard’s DUMB goals! I love Brendon’s energy, excitement and enthusiasm when explaining what DUMB goals are. I prefer timelines to be flexible and changeable with an awareness that everything mostly unfolds in its own time, if we have the patience to allow this. I agree goals should have timelines but I don’t think they should be set in stone. I half align and half misalign with this. T = Timely – does your goal have a timeline? Goals may be relevant today and irrelevant tomorrow and so only setting relevant goals also feels limiting to me. This is another part of SMART that I don’t align with. You may not be able to achieve your big, audacious, unrealistic goals with the current resources you have but who knows what the future will bring.ĭREAM BIG and don’t worry about whether it’s achievable or not, the process will get you further than you can imagine! I prefer to set big, audacious, almost unrealistic goals – anything else feels limiting to me. Understanding my WHY not only supports the goal setting process but it also keeps me going when times get tough, which they inevitably will. Simon Sinek in his highly viewed Ted Talk and bestselling book says to START WITH WHY and that is where I start with goal setting.
(3) I'm gonna assume, by now, that everybody knows you gotta use a fan shroud. ![]() They are sold by Firebird Central & other vendors. When painted, they even look very similar to the stock rads. Cold Case brand rads are very popular now. It's because the wider tubes will flow more than the narrow tubes used in the 3 & 4-row rads, and the air can flow more freely over the wide 2-rows. And, 1.25" wide tubes will cool even better. I've read that a good quality 2-row alum rad, with at least 1 inch wide tubes, will cool better than either stock or alum 3 or 4-row rads. Flowkooler makes a high volume pump in both the 11-bolt & the earlier 8-bolt versions. Some also say you need a pump with a cast impeller, not a stamped impeller. I read that one guy just used a crescent wrench, to bend the plate in, all around the center hole. Some do this with a small ball peen hammer and a block of wood. The clearance can be reduced by hammering all around the center of the plate. The pump can not move enuff coolant with that much clearance. The closer, without ever touching, the better. (1) The clearance between the water pump impeller fins and the divider plate must be reduced to less than. The solution may require several changes. Sorry in advance I have ADHD and it's hard to remember information at times and write organized. If anyone needs more information I would be glad to provide anything needed. I would pray to have it running like it used to before his birthday in April. It was his first car and he has less than 1.5k miles after rebuilding it 10 years ago and it's a shame to have it sit in the garage. A engine mechanic asked about mounts behind the water pump but he said they were installed correctly. He seems to think it's an internal problem with the engine and two parts are rubbing and creating friction but he also drained the cooling system and said he found gunk inside it. At idle the car gets hot very very quickly, around 220 in maybe >20min, but if driving on the highway at fast speeds it drives around 230-40. The car WILL run if it is cold outside( we live in Houston) but will overheat if it's hot and once it reaches around 250 the engine shuts off my dad thinks it's the MSD distributor's coil that gets hot and shuts it down(we even put on low performance springs inside the dis cap). It also has a Griffin Illuminum Radiator which he said DID drop the temp but it's not a fix, and the fan is a 5 blade flex fan. He has had the heads rebuilt and even had it "detuned". ![]() He has tried countless times with a variety of thermostats and fans so they don't seem to be the issue. My dad has a 69 Firebird that has always had a problem with overheating but it's unlike most common problems, one might say it's unique. |
